Once in a while, you find a book in the Kindle Unlimited available books that you would mourn returning and this was one of them. So far I've bought two or three books because the characters and the story can't be forgotten and you know you'll read it again and again, never regretting that you made sure it's part of your permanent library. Being on a limited income, someone who takes full advantage of the Unlimited reading material because reading at least one or two books a day, I can't afford to keep up with my reading habits if I didn't have this service. I think that's important to say here because it stresses that each book I purchase is a dedicated decision for me.That having been said, this book captured me. So sweet, characters that took me in and engaged me. A supernatural romance, a weakness of mine, that ran through my head clearly like it was a movie being seen in detail. As others have said *spoiler if you haven't read it* the dismissal of the ex and the agent's affair was offhand and cold, without any real hard feelings and repercussions felt a bit frustrating. Maybe if there'd been more angst there it might have derailed the story, but I felt like there should have been a little more emotional impact from the betrayal and the smooth way they went on to get married. But it shifted the focus to where it should have, the moving on to the better life after.There were little things I think should have had more punch, but the depth of the characters and the sweet storyline more than smoothed over those objections. Giving the ghost a chance to be corporeal was amazing, and of course the one day a year of freedom fits very much with the understanding I have of Samhain (All Hallows Eve/Halloween) which was a happy connecting point for me. Being Pagan, these little touches warm me.Let me tell the author, you are creating something amazing here. I am very much looking forward to the second book. I appreciate that I was able to read it first in KU, and could buy it after. Glad to support such a connecting story. I hope more people read and buy this series. I encourage anyone to enjoy this as much as I did. Sweet, warm and HEA with a few bumps in the road to make sure you are rooting for them. I absolutely loved this book! Ghost stories are among my favourite, so I know this series will be one I'll be following.From the opening paragraph, I was intrigued, the character of Ben successful in his career, but not so much in his love life. And when he moves on with his life, buying a house in a small town to help loosen the cobwebs, nothing is quite what it seems.
